I am in a 8 team/6 player keeper league. I was offered Andre Johnson for Tom Brady. Normally I wouldn't entertain this offer. However, Carson Palmer is my starting QB so Brady is just a backup for me. I do need help at receiver. My receivers are Matt Jones, D. Jackson, McCardell, Michael Clayton & Michael Jenkins. I have put feelers out and Johnson is the best receiver available for Brady. Free Agent backup QB's available to replace Brady are the likes of McNair, Brunell, Brees etc. There is an outside chance Johnson would be a keeper for me next year and if Palmer progresses and stays healthy Brady would not be kept.

You should be able to get much more for Brady then Andre Johnson. I'd do it if it were Chad Johnson. I'd hold on to Brady for a week or two and see if you can work out a deal for a top tier WR. Someone will be disappointed with their QB within the first couple of weeks and that's when you could strike. Find out who has Roethlesberger and see if you could work out a deal with him.

Your receiving corp is decent enough especially if you have good RBs. With Andre's injury history and the fact that he plays for a poor offensive team, you'd have to get much more in return with him.

no, keep brady....Palmer may not be 100% all year and Brady is well above the qb's you think might be available.

WR Andre johnson is coming off a poor year and the texans are scrambling to find a RB since passing on Bush and losing Dom Davis to injury. The who? boys, Dayne, Lundy, & Morency to get the bulk of carries in Houston. who?

The o-line has yet to prove itself. Carr sacked a ton more than the next guy, bledsoe.

keep brady.

On your WR's...if jackson healthy...could have huge year in SEA.
McCardell ? with rookie QB, Clayton has upside.

I would dump jenkins....there has to be another WR with more promise / upside on the waiver wire.

You should be getting more than Andre Johnson for Brady. There's more receiver depth than QB depth so don't worry about missing out on Johnson.

Keep Brady as insurance. Palmer could get hurt again this season.

Wow, I'm surprised that is the best anyone has offered you. In this case I say take the deal. Johnson will have a better year with Moulds on the other side. And it looks like you could use some help at WR.

HELL NO. You can get a better WR for Brady than that. Just be patient and continute to put Brady out on the Wire and sooner or later somebody will throw you a legitimate #1 WR.

If Palmer is your starter and you are confident he will make it through the season, then you can make the deal. I think Brees would be a great backup, and worthy of a starter on many teams. It seems you may be strong at RB, since you are weak at WR. Can you deal one of them for a better receiver?
