Someone told me recently that I would have a hard time making the switch because a bulk of my files are Macromedia and Adobe for PC. I would really like to go to Mac, but don't want a huge hassle or risk losing my client's files. Any input?

Adobe came out with Photoshop and Illustrator for Mac only since their very first versions. Since the majority of people in the graphic field use Mac, all your files created in PC should be able to open in Mac transparently.
However, right out of the box, if you're not familiar with tools and shortcuts, etc. in OSX, you could simply run Windows XP off your Mac first, then get acquainted with your new system. But if you are familiar with Adobe's SWs, you shouldn't have any problem.
Goodluck.

Of course
I use a mac,

Run dreamweaver, the entire adobe suite.

You need the "actual" programs in mac format but the files all transfer flawlessly.

Html/php ect.

But the programs are Mac/PC specific

Your new Mac can deploy a version of living house windows XP or Vista on it, and consequently there is absolutly no unfavorable aspects. Your question intimately (on an identical time as working OS X): is there something necessary i will do on a computer that i cant do on a mac?: no longer likely cutting-part video games won't many times run on OS X. like downloading torrents: Azurious has a Mac version could you recomend vista?: i could duel boot Vista on the Mac. mac is way less stressful and that i see all the sensible those with them so i kinda choose one understand.: Mac are used designed for people who do no longer opt to play around with putting they only choose it to artwork. yet yet has the flexibility to allow for stepped forward configuration.

Just check with adobe and see if they make the same software for the MAC. if so, the files will work fine.
