Because he has said he will not run for Prime Minister again and the Labor party believes that he will become a lame duck and drag them down at the same time.

I do believe because the people don't feel that he is doing the job the asked him to do. Wouldn't it be nice if it was that simple in the US

Because he has been in power too long, it's going to his head, effecting his judgement and his ability to make decisions.

To be fair to him, its a very tough job.. he needs a break.
