No one should stay in a job which they dislike and more importantly cannot do adequately. I worked much of my life with salespersons, and know that success in selling is very difficult in the best of circumstances and near impossible if you dislike selling. The term investment consultant is one of those titles often used for salesperson and means you must sell successfully.

It is usually not a good idea to resign from a job until you have another job lined up. While you should get into a career better suited to you as quickly as possible, stick with your current job while you do a job search. It is harder to get a job when unemployed than while still employed, and it is useful to have earnings while you search.

Good luck

Find another job before you quit this one. If you quit first think about all the stuff you would have to worry about when the bills start rolling in and you're not employed after a month or two of bad luck!
Buck it up for now.... start looking ASAP and then get the job you WANT!
Good luck.
This comes from a guy who hates his job after 15 years and is finally doing something about it.
Have a great day!!!

Leave the job now.

I have been through what you are describing..it is not pleasant..because you get fed up and cant be bothered..dont want to get out of bed in the morning..it even affects your eating and sleeping.. at times you are not aware of the bad effects the job is having on your life..It creeps up on you..thing is you are not aware of how bad it is until you leave and get another job then the world gets bright again.

Just go for it.
