We do not have independent news or journalism in this country for the most part, yeah there are a few independents but most of it is owned by a few giant corporations like GE who sells 50 thousand jet engines a year to the government, they are not seperate from who the news is about. We need free press that is not controlled by other interest, I think we should have a law that says all media must be independent and wholly owned by just people who report news and can't be influence.

The media is bought and paid for, by the advertisers who want to control the world.
But, we know they lie, they report stupid people news and it's all about ratings.
This is what happens when you number people and forget they are individuals with names and personalities all their own.
Beware of the general and generalizations.

Yes. We can overcome that by sharing information on the web. The WWW is the only truly free "place" in the world.
