If you want to see if it will work out don't take it back just don't set a date until he can prove to you that he has changed.

well I don't want to give you any advice on if you should be with him or not, but you should know that he could of really stopped doing his illegal things. Whatever he got caught for could of been something that happened before and was being investigated or something new happened now from what he was doing before. Now that he is enrolled wait to see if he actually goes. Just sit and talk with him about your fears. You don't have to take the engagement back yet, just don't set a marriage date.

WOW

I wouldnt take it back if you are in love. I would tell him how you feel and let him know that things need to change and he needs to prove himself first. You can be engaged for a few months or a few years before you get married. There isnt a rule on how long you can be engaged. If you feel that you dont want to be with him or that it wont work out then get out now. It only gets harder to end a relationship the longer it lasts.

If I were in your shoes, I would end the total relationship now. Illegal business, time to turn and run.

If you want to say, let's wait. Say it. Tell him that you feel you are not ready for that type of committment. And, until he proves to you that he has changed his illegal ways, you are not willing to consider it. If he is lying now, he has a good probability of lying in the future. A marriage is based on total honesty and trust.

But, again in your shoes I would just end it and move on.

I agree with brunette, don't take It back, b/c he could be changing, but sometimes thing can get old and you need to figure out If he really Is trying to change, b/c If he's not then It Is time for you to move on with your life and time to quite being his mother, b/c sorry to say It's getting time for him to grow up. The best thing to do Is to follow your consciousness If you think he's going to change then stay and see, If you don't think he's going to change then time to take care of your-self and go on. GoOd LuCk and I wish you and your b/f the best and I hope everything works out for you both!

You dont' want to marry someone who has been arrested for illegal business. I am sure you don't want to visit your husband in jail every week. Tell him your not ready until you both grow up a bit.

Starting out a relationship with a lie--I think that pretty much says it all--don't you?
