I am a rich Republican homemaker - that's my excuse.
Are you liberals all on government handouts for drug abuse, and that's why you can stay home during the work day? Just wondering...

I think that putting my family FIRST is the best job there is.
I have a college degree and a very high IQ.
Married the Valedictorian of my University and I've had a blessed life.
I do not define my success in life through a JOB...that's nuts. My success is the happiness I can bring to my family and friends.

Started out young and poor. We worked for everything we have and now we pay more taxes than is fair. We had 1 car and a 2 bedroom house to start. No apology for being successful - my husband AND me and the kids - a team. Liberals - with your definitions of "family" you just won't get us. A married mom and dad with 4 kids (same last name and same parents...)

therandman - I am very happy your family is as happy as mine. Putting my family first is the greatest thing I could do and I am happy doing it. I do get a little churlish about liberals, and I should sometimes tone it down a bit - but I don't!
Have a great day!

tat2me - no tax breaks on the kids. We pay EXTRA - ever hear of the "alternative minimum tax"? We pay that and get no deductions for kids.

Phenostaple - you're an idiot and you wouldn't survive one day running a household. My wife is a stay at home mother, raising my kids and running the house. Her job is more important and full filling than what career women have (at some point in time career women realize they are missing the real joys of life - which are love and family) I can put my wife in a workplace and she will excel - Can the same be said of a career women being placed in a home with 3 small kids?
Sorry RLP - that comment was ignorant by staple.
To answer your question - how can you protest if you have a 40 hour work week? Most liberals here are students, but there are few that work at night. Or unemployed liberals that wait on gov't handouts.

You could be a benefit to your community, family, children by getting out and volunteering or making some sort of a difference. You would also be a good role model for your children and might be able to let go of some of the hate I pick up on in your question.
I wish you the best and hope your children may grow up not judging people for their differences but appreciating them. I hope they are able to be happy in life and not leave your home with the anger you display. That they are able to debate the issues in a civil, adult fashion without malice for people they don't know. To learn and teach thru interaction with people different than themselves.
Also, just FYI, some people have computers at work and some liberals are housewives or househusbands.

1. Some people have night jobs.
2. Some of them arnt from this country and you also seem to forget the time difference so some people may be on before or after your "normal time" is.
3. Some people are lucky enough to have jobs where they can play on the net part of the day.
4. They could be on their lunch break
5. Last but not least some of the others could be suzy home maker just like yourself.
There is 5 reasons that have nothing to do with your ignorant hate filled comment. Thanks for showing how dumb repugs really are.

I don't define myself as a liberal per say, but I own my own business where I hire others to do most of the work. I also am a homemaker, but feel it is my duty as an American citizen to also help our economy. What does being a Republican have to do with being able to stay home all day? Or a liberal for that matter? Maybe if you spent less time in your fictional world of Oprah and sweater sets you wouldn't be so quick to label and generalize.

Fortunately, we also have a MUCH higher rate of LITERACY, on average. Therefore, more of us are capable of actually READING and ANSWERING your questions! Yeah!
Of course we work!
We HAVE to! Because of the tax breaks you get for each of those kids you pop out, WE need to cough up the money to school them for you! Even though we, who are not recognized by our government as having "proper" families, have to scrimp and scrape to provide the common benefits for OUR children that you are automatically granted ONLY because you're heterosexual. Maybe SOMEday you'll actually consider US, or ANYone else, when you pass a few laws. But it IS "all about" you, so we don't have high hopes.
As TOTALLY irrational as it is to believe gays "chose" their sexuality (basically DECIDING what their bodies would or would not sexually/emotionally respond to), and LABELING it a "lifestyle", when a SEXUALITY is no such thing, we understand your ignorant need to legitimize your own bigotry, and we forgive you. UNLIKE you, we have a heart, depth of understanding, and compassion.
YOU are taxed unfairly??? Heck yeah...those who make the least money and have the least ability to pay should carry that burden for you! I mean, heck, you're SUCCESSFUL. Reap the rewards!
Heck, why shouldn't you folks define families in ways that benefit ONLY YOU. It's absolutely (subjectively) "moral" of you to deny the children of gays...they should PAY for their parent's sins...even though EQUALIZING rights (primarily financial) would have NO negative impact on you WHATSOEVER. SELF-righteousness and self-importance is an EXCELLENT reason for bigotry, biased laws, and denying civil rights and financial equality to all. You have the perfect right to define ONLY "your" kind of people as rightful Americans. Melting pot? Oh please. WE should blow up the Statue of Liberty on your behalf. Elitism is IN!
God bless your self-important, self-righteous, bigoted, elitist, ignorant, arrogant, butt. God bless it.

I'm at work. Luckily I'm the boss so I can take a self-imposed break now and then.
I'm assuming that you're a housewife because you lack education or the ability to make it in the real world. Get back to Days of Our Lives and your carton of bons bons and leave the issues to us, sweetie. BTW, the real issues are not about Ellen or Rosie.
P.S. By calling yourself "rich", you pretty much have made yourself a transparent liar.

I was not going to answer this question - just wanted to read what other people wrote and then I saw the venom for homemakers.
My wife stays at home with our kids and is the reason we have a successful FAMILY. I am able to concentrate on work and therefore I have climbed the corporate ladder fairly quickly. My children are ALL A students because she helps them and we value education.
I am a conservative and value traditional FAMILY VALUES.

First of all, yes I work.
Second of all, your question demonstrates the typical childish stereotyping that I've come to expect from Republicans, which is why I don't even consider listening to you guys anymore. You all sound like a broken record with your deep hatred for liberals.

I am not a liberal, but this is a somewhat immature statement. Bashing someone for what they believe is just childish. I am home because I work nights. Respect is key to intelligent debate.
