Burn Away Hero. I'm not doing this job for nothing.

Just don't expect me to get your back in a pinch...Hate the Government, hate the politicians, hate the enemy, but not the Country. The Country is the People and the Flag represents the Country.

In a free society people can express themselves almost any way they want. However burning any flag from any country including the United States is disrespectful. We all know why flags are burned. It expresses hatred or disappointment in government but it does little to correct any situation. Instead of burning another country's flag try waving your own country's flag even higher. You might just get better results.

Yes, its seriously wrong. The most famous picture of all time was the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. Everybody at one time or another will disagree with a US policy. But to disrespect everyone throughout our history who has made a sacrifice to our country is just wrong. There are so many ways to utilize your freedom of speech. But to slap real patriots in the face is just wrong. I consider burning the US flag, an act of war. And I view anyone who does it to be an enemy of the state. I personally would not be able to sit and watch it in person, without attacking the enemy of our beloved country.

As A veteran I served our beloved country. I think that one of liberties I swore to uphold was peoples right to show displesure with how our govt. is running our country. If burning a flag helps them express it then so be it. I am personally against any flag burning except to discard worn flags. I gladly stand up for your right to burn it though. Its no diffrent then me being personally against catholism but in America its your call.

It is completely fine. Freedom of speech demands that you can do whatever you like so long as it doesn't affect the rights of others. It would offend a lot of people - because it's symbolic of rejection of American culture, but to deny the burning of the flag is to deny freedom of speech - and many other things that the flag stands for. It's only really Americans who worship their flag - British people couldn't care less if you burn the union flag.

Besides the fact that millions of people have died fighting to preserve that flag and what it stands for. When you burn a flag you are crossing the line between protest and treason. The flag is a symbol of this republic. Burning the flag is not merely protest, it is treason.
the only exception is if it touches the ground, then you are supposed to burn it.

I don't think that burning a flag for reasons of protest will get you anything but ashes. Isn't there something more constructive you could do?

The only time a US flag should be burned is when it is old, torn or dirty. It is disrespectful to do alot of things to our flag.

YES!!! Except when it is old and ragged, then it is
given to one of the Veterans Organizations and then
there is a offical ceremony where the flag(s) will be burned.
