Well, you're looking for a number between 300 and 400. Since it's divisible by 9 and 5 it's actually divisible by 9*5 or 45. 45*8 = 90*4 = 360, but that's even. Adding 45 would get you a number greater then 400. Subtract 45 from that and you get 315, which fits all your criteria.

U have received a lot of answers, but no one says how to do it so that next time u can do it urself.

The Key here is HCF (Highest Common Factor). HCF of 5 and 9 is 45. So any number divisible by 45 should be divisible by 5 and 9. But the number should be between 300-400, so 45*6 = 27, 45*7 = 315, 45*8 = 360, 45*9 = 405..

So the numbers are 315 and 360..But as ur number is not even the answer to ur question is 315

I suspect you need the proceedure more than the answer (especially since several people have given you the answer). Since you are divisible by both 5 and 9, you are divisible by 5*9=45. So, take 300 divided by 45 (which is 6 and a remainder) and 400 divided by 45 (which is 8 with a remainder). Your number divided by 45 must be more than 6 and less than or equal to 8. So the quotient must be either 7 or 8. But, if you multiply 8 by 45, you get an even number (360), so you want 7*45=315. It is now easy to check that 315 satisfies all the conditions that you want.

The only 2 numbers divisible by both 9 and 5 in the range 300 to 400 are : 315 (7*5*9) and 360 (8*5*9).

As the number is not even it has to be 315.

the answer is 315 - it's not even, grester than 300 but less than 400 & it is divisible by both 9 & 5
It has to be a # that ends in 5 (because it's not even - so it won't end in 0 but only #'s that end in 0 or 5 are divisible by 5). I divided each # that end with 5 (between 300-400) and luckily - it was one of the first ... 315

divisible by 9 and 5 means: multiple of 45
not even means: not multiple of 2*45, therefore the number has the form

X = 90 * n + 45

If 300 < X < 400 then
... 300 < 90 n + 45 < 400
... 255 < 90 n < 355
... 2.something < n < 3.something
n = 3
X = 90 * 3 + 45 = 270 + 45 = 315

315

Divisible by 9 => The sum of the numbers must be divisible by 9.

Divisible by 5 => the last number must be 0 or 5.

Not even => Odd, so it can only end with 5 and not 0.

The first number must be 3 and the last number must be 5.
The only answer is 315 (as 3+1+5=9, so 315 is divisible by 9).

I just took 9 * 5 which is 45, and kept multipling it, until i got past 300.

315 and 360 are the only ones that are divisible by 9 and 5 and are in between 300 and 400, but 315 is the only number that isn't even.

What I suggest is to multiply 9 and 5 to get 45
because if a number can be divided by 9 and 5, it must be possible to divide the number by 45 (number between 300 - 400).
then list the multiples of 45:
45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315, 360, 405..

so the only possible one from this list is 315! 360 is even, so it is not correct.

To figure it out divide 300 by 9 -- round the quotient up (so you get 34), start multiplying 9 by 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, ect, until you get a number that is a mulitple of 5. In this example you'll find it the second time 9 * 35 = 315 (ends in five so is a multiple of 5).

You could use the same process starting with dividing 300 by 5 -- but it's easier to choose the higher number because the process will be shorter.
