Absolute control. I'd stop wars everywhere and get on with the business of building a starship instead. Carl Sagan said that if you took all of the military budgets of the world and combined them you could do virtually anything in regards to space exploration. Remember how the world "changed" after the lunar landing? Can you imagine how it would change after a Mars landing? A trip to another star?
