If i get some bamboo, would that work since they only need water and not that much light. Will only the office lights suffice as artificial sunlight?
And where can i find the plant at? (not the bamboo but any other type of plant)

The bamboo is and excellent choice and also any Ivy will do. You can get the Ivy at Walmart. An English Ivy loves artificial light.

Get a good luck bamboo. They make a nice setting that needs a minimum of light to do well. Pothos makes a nice plant also with minimum needs. Or a small cactus that blooms.

Any decent lawn and garden center should have many plants for indoor use. For indoor where there is not much light present nonflowering plants will probably be your best bet like philodendron, spider plants, or dracaena, for example.
