Get 2 clean, empty soup cans and with a nail, punch a small hole in the bottom. Thread some butcher string( about 50 feet or so) thru the cans and knot the ends of the string and pull taunt. Voila a home-made walkie-talkie

Hi. Start by getting a soldering iron. 25 watts should do. Learn a little bit of electronics. Grab some transistors (or tubes if you're in a cold climate) and solder them together so they can receive the frequency you are interested in. Grab some more and solder them together so they can transmit on the same frequency. Now comes the hard part. Finding someone to talk to.
