An old Realtors trick for making a house smell appealing for an open house is to pour a couple of tablespoons of vanilla extract in a pie tin and put it in the oven on a low heat. Do not let it burn. Somewhere just over a "warming" setting should do the trick.

Good luck with your open house.

I really like the jar candles made by Candle Lite. Also the big 3 wick candles that you can get from Walmart. The smell last for a long time.Good Luck.

Get some of the pop up ones from Wal*Mart. Get them in Vanilla scent and put out 2-3 close to the washer.

on an unused appliance or bath tub/sink the traps dry out allowing gas to pass upward causing an awful smell. put a half a bottle of bleach in it after it runs for a minute. then run it for a couple seconds more. leaving the water and bleach set in the dishwasher , this should help temporarily kill the smell.

VERY easy and quick suggestion for you...

put a couple cups of water in a pot on the stove and heat it up. Sprinkle a little cinnamon into the water and simmer on low for awhile. Your house will smell wonderful very quickly. This is a great last minute idea to freshen up the smell of your home. :-)
