My X girlfriend has a mom who paces back and forth, talking to herself in the name of Jehovah. Now, she moved downsouth to live with relatives. The relatives kicked her out because she started to wear thier clothing and jewels.Anyhow, she's a Jahovah fanatic, but really needs to practice what she preachs. Now my question is I think she is crazy. My X have 2 kids who are "special" well on medication.Basically what I am asking do my X have mental problems but was hiding it from me?I did notice somethings weird about her but was unsure. Is it possible that the crazy gene was passed down...

This so-called "question" seems primarily intended to demean Jehovah's Witnesses. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Unfortunately mental illness is hereditary.I have numerous mental illnesses. My sister had shock treatments,my other sister was on disability for mental illness and I had 2 brothers commit suicide. My mom was in a mental institution. So the answer is yes.Alot of people try to cover up their illness, but eventually they will snap. That is what happened to me.I was able to keep the monster within me for 21 years without anyone knowing, then one day I could not keep them at bay,and I basically had a break down.

Many types of insanity are hereditory. Some are enviornmental due to being raised by crazy parents or being exposed to toxins.
The chances that your X is crazy is very high. Many psychotics can hide or mask the symptoms with "self medication" of one sort or another, marijuana and alcohol are the most common.

The mother sound schizophrenic. This is almost for sure hereditory.

Some mental illnesses can be passed down from parents to children. You may want to identify just exactly the 'crazy gene' is.

Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, Monomania, etc

Nobody can answer this question based on your small blurb. That is a diagnosis that even a Dr. couldn't make without extensive psychological testing. But if it makes you feel better about your breaksup, then yeah. Sure. Just keep it to yourself and don't go spreading gossip about the woman and her children!

Eek, kid. The very fact she's left the first father [well women initiate 93% of divorces], well that's enough. Why not just find a nice girl?

Like mother like daughter is a 3000 year old saying, so it's likely true.

Perhaps your X knows no other way of life, since her mother is her only example. However, considering the whole picture, you're probaby correct in your thinking. I would expect all these things have been verified by the doc who prescribed the meds for your 'special' children.

Well, I have had this happend to me ...

I had a chick I was seeing and I really liked her mom as well. So, I just banged the chick and her mom! I really want all of us to hook up in a menage-a-trois, but it never happened. Good luck on trying to bag the mom as well! Happy Beaver hunting!

sometimes (not all) mental illness is genetic, therefore; passed down the line. If you noticed strange behaviors your X probably was 'touched' a bit.
