Please, my little brother has a bite on his toe. We think it's a mosquito bite because it was one on Labor Day, but now it has swelled up, is a big red bump, and the actual bite is white. Can you tell me what this is and how to treat it? We have already been soaking his foot in warm water, which seemed to have helped, but is there anything else we can do?

Some people really react to mosquito bites (my daughter was bitten on the cheek, and she looked like Rocky after a good beating).

Give a Benadryl pill, apply Benadryl cream.

Go see a Doctor, the bite might have infected and your brother might have cellulitis (infection of the skin) and might need antibiotics.

Later your brother might need to meet with an allergy doctor, to test him.

Good luck!
