In the US and Japan, the launch is in November, but in Europe it's in March next year. I was going to buy it, but i've been put off now. It was too much money anyway

its a publicity stunt in order to make the news and get people talking about it. the more people talk about it the more will want one and the demand for them will be greater and so sony will sell more. the same thing happened with the ps2 i believe. wait until they have been out a while and the price drops.

For some reason, the last few console releases from Sony (including handheld) they have had problems getting the PAL version to work properly. The release of the PAL version of the PSP was delayed for ages after the rest of the world. Why can't we all have the same?

That isn't really a question but, I feel bad for you. You must live in Europe, and if you do then i suggest you try to buy it when it is released in the US or Japan. Just look around.

It's always Europe who get the delays on games and consoles :(
It is also too expensive which is why I'm more interested in the Nintendo Wii anyway.
