not the stuff on the radio ( mudvayne, slipsuck, disturbed), real heavy metal!

I used to love Slayer, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Mordor, Carcass... a lot of real heavy and death/ gore metal. Not so much the gore metal lover anymore but I will always love Pantera and old Metallica. Also love old White Zombie and OLD Marilyn Manson but they are kinda in a different genre. I hate the new stuff on the radio you just mentioned it is a disgrace to the good metal music. I'm glad somebody agrees with me on that at least!

ME! I actually consider the bands in the brackets hardcore or nu-metal...and I am sorry to say that very few ppl I know in my generation are into 'traditional metal' such as Iron Maiden,J priest,Manowar,DIO etc However, there are some bands that continue to play real heavy metal such as Edguy,Avantasia(the metal opera),Hammerfall,Rhapsody,Angra. I believe that good music remains good music and that there will shurely be ppl that like it,be inspired by it and play it!I'm absolutely shure that HEAVY METAL WILL NEVER DIE!

HELLS YEAH! alot of the former *** metallica, ****** SLAYER! strong ol sabbath, and an excellent variety of recent stuff. there are an excellent variety of robust bands obtainable, no longer merely classics like a lot of those you named. amon amarth, blinded through faith, judas iscariot, dissection, etc. demise and Black metallic are ****** insane besides.
