There is a woman who claims that Steve Irwin exploited animals. Personally, I harshly disagree with her and think she's nuts to make such comments...to say nothing of being crude seeing as how he just passed away and all. If she honestly felt her opinion had any merit, why didn't she speak up BEFORE he died?

No. He showed us all how to respect the animals. He taught us all about alot of different animals that we would "normally" never known anything about.

She didn't speak up before he died because she is wrong and a coward. She waits until the poor bloak is dead to try to defame him.

She is only making herself look like a complete idiot by trying to shame the dead. Shame on her.

From what I saw, I never felt that Steve Irwin exploited animals. His father and mother raised him in a kindly environment within their own animal sanctuary. They felt confident in rendering ownership of their sanctuary to Steve Irwin. Quite naturally, young Steve would find himself accustomed to animals of every kind. In my opinion, Steve Irwin had a kind heart and was a comforting spirit. I am glad that we, the people of Earth, were exposed to him. There are so many bad news stories going on at any given moment. I am happy to celebrate Steve Irwin's life and appreciate that he shared it with us all. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

I totally agree that she should have spoken up before he died. In the article, when she mentioned thst she hoped he died I was fuming. You can't say that to anyone, its disrespectful and mean and she is a coward who couldn't even say these things to his face. I think that steve Irwin was a brave and a just man, who did all he could to make people aware of the fact that animals all around the world are in danger and need our help. He died to MAKE US AWARE for gods sake! That is definately NOT exploition. It was a cruel and mean thing to do on her part.

Steve Irwin did not exploit animals. In fact, he helped us to understand animals better in order to live in harmony with them in the wild.

I don't believe that he exploited them, but I do feel that he failed to recognize the boundaries between us and wild animals and keep a respectful distance. In that he reminded me very much of Timothy Treadwell...both men stated on film that they felt that the animals would never hurt them...maybe other people, but not them. This is delusional thinking and a recipe for disaster.

No
his knowledge of animals was that he knew there behavior and was also a bit of a showman in the name of trying to teach others.

In the end he was the image of the Australia out back

No, I don't think that he exploited animals, I think that he was a great teacher. The only reason that she is saying this now is to get attention for herself and because he cannot defend himself. What a self-righteous and self-serving bi@#$.

I can see the "Crodiles Exploited by Steve Irwin" support group now. Big crocodile tears. "He only fed us and relocated us so that we could be on TV with him." "He used us!" "I feel - sold!" "I sold myself for a chicken."
