War should always be the very last resort and only used in a defensive manner. The current criminal bush administration are warmongers that shoot first and ask questions later. This barbaric philosophy benefits them by generating all kinds of services that will benefit their war effort. Guess who holds massive amounts of stock shares in these companies like Halliburton, Raytheon, etc.? We are supposed to be a civilized society, DUH-bya has turned us into the The Planet of the Apes.

I haven't seen the documentary, but I'm assume you are asking why do we fight in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places: we fight overseas so the people of the US will remain so distracted that they won't notice how all the corporate cronies and their lackeys in the Repugnant Party are getting rich while life is getting harder and harder for many of the hardworking people of the middle class. We fight so people overseas can be told about freedom even as their resources are stolen out from under them. We fight in the name of democracy so that corporations can decide what our legal protections and rights are. We fight for freedom so that our government here in the US can bug our phones, peek in our emails, and sneak in our homes. We fight so that our flag flies high around the world even if the freedoms it represents are disappearing here at home. We fight because our government says we must and, even though our government was founded as a "government by the people and for the people," who are we to question what it commands?
