For a college setting, you will need at least a Masters degree in each discipline. In order to become a professor at a 4 year college, you will need a PhD in each discipline. No easy feat by any means, even for one discipline. Make sure you carry around an IV for coffee.

Sounds like you want to be a teacher or and instructor/professor in a college. Do some research on the colleges in your area (or elsewhere) that focus on education. Go on their web sites and look at the course listings for the degree that you want. It's all laid out for you--you have to take some courses that are called "graduation requirements", the courses you need for your major and minor and some elective courses, depending on the school. Good luck.

Better get started now. I'd say you need at least a Masters degree just to get started in English and then work towards a doctorate in some sort of specialty and definitely a doctorate in Physics.
