Charles Caldwell, President of "Voice of The Moderates" stated at their first Press Conference that,

"Far Left Wing Liberal ACLU Adoring Liberal Democrats whose shining examples of leadership are "Yeeee haaw Howard Dean", their President of the DNC and the ever-red nosed 100 Proof Ted Kennedy of "Chappaquiddick" fame... not to mention, Hillary Clinton and her shallow bid for the White House with NO solutions, NO strategies i.e., for the National Security, Illegal Aliens, open hemorraging borders, she offers nothing, she just reads from scripts... these are the Dems."

Wienhauser and Jones Polls show:

Disenchanted Moderates overwhelmingly believe the Democratic Party is no longer viable, it's been hijacked by Gays, Lesbians and ACLU Radicals of every stripe and represents them exclusively!

The majority of Moderates queried stated: "It's either Vote GOP or for a Third Party/Independent BUT the Democrats are no longer a viable positive politcal entity".

What say you?

They will or be driven to poverty, it's a necessity now. People are loosing their homes over the rising costs of inflation with the rising mortgage rates. My bank told me it has risen 25% in this last year, of repossessions of homes, they are taking back from home owners. Our economy is far from stable, and most Americans are feeling the effects in their pockets.

There are many Democrats who are moderate, however the Republicans have made abortion and gay rights such wedge issues (that really don't effect most Americans except the ones who like to dictate how others should live) that it seems that that is what the Democrats are about (and they should be partly as it is a fight for civil rights). Actually, the Democrats haven't changed all that much (even maybe moved closer to the middle, i.e. Clinton), it's the extremism of the Republican party that has given the illusion of change, it used to be the Republican party platform to believe in keeping Government small and out of an individuals personal business. Now which party has shifted to the extreme? Again it shows how guilable the American public can be and how much Republican propagada works to confuse the politically ignorant in our country.

I believe you answered your own question very eloquently.

I was a Democrat, but I'm looking for a good 3rd party candidate.
I believe in Unions, but not in the so called "fair trade agreement" signed by Clinton. I believe in the second amendment, even though it seems "politically incorrect" for a Democrat.

I believe in hiring the best qualified person for a job, and believe jobs filled strictly based on ethnic quotas are dragging everyone down.

I believe that we should take care of the homeless in our backyards before we give welfare and other assistance to someone crossing the border illegally. A lot of the homeless are Viet nam era vets that should be taken care of for life. They sacrificed for us and then were forgotten.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, unless the Democrats can find a person that believes in the right to defend ourselves, can support the middle class, and quits giving away my social security, I'm going 3rd party.

A lot of it is true. The Democratic Party has become a coalition of people who want to disrupt Middle America's culture, while moderates tend to have a 'live and let live' mentality.

The gay marriage movement took an in-your-face turn when the Mass. Supreme Court decided that restricting marriage to a man and a woman was unconstitutional, and that other states were now forced to accept Mass's marriage licenses. Middle America had no problem with the loony's on the coast passing gay marriage, but then when everyone realized that a gay couple could get married in SanFran, move to a red state, and that state would be forced to let them stay married, that turned a lot of moderates into republicans.

The democrats are playing opposition politics right now which means to oppose everything the current administration is doing whether it works or not. Unfortunately, this does not lead to any consensus building or compromise, only to oppose for oposition sake. This makes the Democrats appear weak and radical with no solutions that cover the practical or middle ground. So when faced with a choice, the 3rd party and independent candidates look attractive because they are not alligned with the current administration, yet offer practical, sound solutions. The Democrats are off in left field shouting at the top of their lungs to get attention, but it is the wrong attention.

I vote dem because I believe the Republican party today has been hijacked my an corporate elite and the Dem's are more likely to help 'We the People" and not 'We the corporation" first. I do believe the Dem's has been spineless lately but I think it is time for the cons to sit this Nov. out to fix the party and weed out the neo-republicans that do not put the middle class first.

I don't think there is much more that needs to be said.

I'm a Democrat and I am embarassed with what has become of the Party. Absolutely no humility. Absolutely no desire to accomplish anything except bad mouth the other party.

I don't even see a light at the end of the tunnel.

dkstringer... get your head out of the sand. When it comes down to it the people are going to vote for the party that is going to protect them. Anyone with a brain knows that the economy was moving along fine. Yes, we are in a slowdown now. That happens every, EVERY year at this time. You know what is sad about the state of the economy... that the Democrats in Washington have been hoping it would crash for years now. Yes, they wanted the economy to tank out costing the American public alot of money. (Collateral damage in the War on Bush - Anything to win) AND the media went along way to helping them in their cause. It was because of the wise choices of our present Administration that it held up so good for so long.

I am personally quite tired of FELLOW Democrats playing games with our country...

I won't be voting Democratic this November. Just can't do it.

I know many former Dems who have stated the exact same thing. I know some who even voted for Carter and have since changed their voting tune after they got a taste of Clinton. It only looks like a downhill spiral for them now. A third party may be on it's way, and for those who are further left than the Republicans, but still have ethics and morals it will be a welcome change from the now-too-far-left of the Democratic party.

Wow....have you even looked at the mainstream news lately? People want to vote for ANY candidate who doesn't support the war.

Conservative idiots continue to say "dems have no solutions"

But the fact is conservatives just don't want to listen. Congress is extremely out of touch with the American people. A CNN poll showed Americans are overwhelmingly mostly concerned about the economy...which is headed straight into the toliet as we speak.

Moderates are going democrat in this election. You can dream all you like but in November you're going to have to face it.

Both parties have become polarized. The Democratic party used to be the party of the working class and farmers, now they are the party of extreme special interest groups.

The Republican party used to be the progressive party, now they are the party of the big-business ad conservative special interest groups.

Given a choice, people will opt for the conservative extreme moreso than the aggresive one. The devil you know is great than the devil you don't as it were.
