I celebrate a multicultural society and am proud that we have such a cosmopolitan attitude to accepting people looking for a new home in our wonderful country.
What I don't like is being told that I can't celebrate Christmas as it might offend people of other religions, or travel on public transport in fear of my life.
Am I a biggot?

Who told you that. You probably are a bigot, and you certainly can't spell.

No ur not a bigot and since there we're such an open society now where people have the right to free speech, freedom to worship and live life we choose. How could celebrating Christmas be criticised because someone of another religion don't celebrate it. However, if ur living in a Muslim country, then this may become an issue.

You are not a bigot. I think that you expect other people to be as open minded about other cultures as you, and that doesn’t make you a bad person, it just opens up a door to frustration.

I happen to think you are right, and that people should be educated to respect other creeds, beliefs and cultures, and not to tread on eggshells fearing they will offend somebody. Granted, there are some taboos and lines that should not be crossed. I think that the fact there are fundamentalists should call us to curb our liberal enthusiasm, and religion should not be targeted to the grand general public as simply you don’t know how people with a stronger faith will react. But it’s the same as not playing your music too loudly out of respect to your neighbours.

It’s when I expect other people to respect me the way you do them I run into many rotten days and attitudes, and I find it everywhere – on the tube, in line at the supermarket, getting a coffee or my lunch. It really is quite sad that people forget that being pleasant makes life so much nicer.

No you are not. When in Rome do as the Romans. You can accept others but then they must equally accept you and your beliefs. Hence if you want to celebrate Christmas do it, if you want a photo of a pig on your desk have it. Can you imagine going to some of these countries and expecting and demanding that they dont do some of their traditional and religious things because it offends you, you would be kicked out.!!!

No of course you are not but if you were to listen to some people they would say we were. My beliefs are the same as yours, but I do worry about the open door policy to some Eastern Europeans as a lot of criminals will be coming into our country and will traffic women as sex slaves and children as well it is very worrying. I think there should be stricter policies and rules keeping tags on people coming into the country looking for work.

You are not a bigot.
Nobody has a right not to be offended, at least not in the USA, but the ACLU has not realized that yet.

Poitical correctness has gone way too far here. it is time for the pendulum to swing back the other way.

No, you're not a bigot; we have as much right to celebrate our festivals as any race or religion - it's called tolerance. The situation in this country is called political correctness gone absolutely mad.

You can celebrate Christmas all you want!!! If it offends them...TOUGH!!! Without Christ we wouldn't have a chance!! Their religions offend me but I don't tell them what to do, it's your choice, God gave us free will. So you celebrate Christmas!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE WORLD!!!!
