You have the right to cry about anything you deem worthy of your tears... remember that... The world today is to crazy about showing emotions... Everyone is suppose to be so distant or unaffected by events and things that mean something to us... Put all that BS aside and be yourself...

You have every right to cry now that he is gone, although you may not have known him on a personal level, on a psyche level you did know him. Steve Irwin was a very genuine and honorable person on camera and from all news reports sounded like he was the same in real life. He presented a wild spirit that took care of the earth and loved showing that even dangerous animals should be interacted with and taken care of.

He presented someone we all would want to be or know on some level and it is a sad loss that he is gone from the world.

Not at all.
Clearly you felt you shared something with Steve and it is not wrong to cry for feeling a loss.
Personally I cried for a long time when I found out that Darrell Abbott was shot and it didn't feel wrong at all. Not only are you crying for the loss you felt you are also crying for the loss experienced by his family and in a sense that is a huge tribute.
If you feel a great sense of loss it is better to express it than to bottle it up.
Some people are more in tune with their emotions than others.

fairly Steve Irwin became an atheist. i think he could be pleased along with his daughter although with each and all of the activities surrounding newborn celebrities.. in keeping with risk somewhat worried?? i'm particular they are very careful along with her through fact she is around unique animals. this may appear undesirable, yet i for my section wish she in no way gets harm. Even experts who understand the character of untamed animals can not anticipate their habit... Take Steve Irwins death for occasion.

His passing was quite a loss and some emotional response is normal, but to have an overdeveloped sense of loss without having the social connectivity or even having known him as a an acquaintance with such an emotional attachment would be classified as being unusual. His unusual death will be forever marked in social constructs as he was the second person to die from such a attack. R.I.P.

People that have talked about him that have actually met him say he was the same in person as he was on camera. You could tell he was genuine just watching his shows.
I feel sad for his family and friends. You feeling sad is a normal reaction. Don't feel bad about it. When you know his family is hurting now it's hard not to feel sad.

Sometimes people cry for celebrities that have passed away, if you can cry at a film with a sad moment in it, why not real life?
