With so many brands of cell phones and so many styles... I wonder wich ones are the best. Or atleast a regular but good not too expensive phone. I tend to favor the nokias but maybe some of you can inform me on the other brands. Thanks.

I've had cellphones for over a decade. I've been through a variety of brands and 3 different providers.
My conclusion is that they're not built to last years. Get the best phone you can under the "free" or "almost free" new contract bonus. Plan to throw it away when your 1 or 2yr contract ends.
One dumb thing: even if you take care of it, replace the batter in a year, buy a nice holder to protect it... by next year they've made it obsolete so forget getting accessories or help with it. The system is designed so they people have to buy a new phone every 1-2 years or so.
I currently have a Motorola v810. It's lasted me about a year. It's issue is that the plug for the charger is small and stupid, so it comes loose. You think youre charging, and you come back to find it didn't charge at all. It also has some really dumb interface issues.
I've also had LGs (broke several of them before my contact went up), Samsung (it lasted but the batteries went bad early), and a few others.

Cause I own 1 nokia.(3220) ...+1 Sony erricson walkman phone(W550i)
I find both phones lasting..since their BODY is REPLACEABLE and I can Change their colors....!!!!!
As per my mood....both are great phones...to own...
The best part of the nokia 3220 is the lights...I use the silent feature most of the times at work...and get to get the call signal by the Flashing Disco lights...in nokia's 3220.
The Sony erricson is great MUSIC phonw with awesome sound whlist playing back Mp3...I tie it to my arm whlie jogging...and play the music..on headphones...
Not to miss the 3D gmes..and the gaming keys for that gamepad feel nd vibrtions while playing V3 rally, Snowboarding, fast and the furious,......lots fo agmes (Its gotta 256 MB's of Ram)
Even my laptop was initially having 256 Mb's RAM bafore I installed another Stick to total it to 512 MB RAM..
. Both are simply awesome

I have always sworn by Nokia, have tried a few other makes over the years but then always returned to Nokia.
There just a much better phone, with lots more features and are easy to use.

Don't get samsung! The best my family has used is Motorola. Those things take a licking (like falling in the toilet) and keep on working. My next one is going to be a V360. Even non-phone people love it features. Go to a few not just one cellphone places and check several phones out. Good luck.

I've always liked Nokia, but I've had good luck with some of the Motorolas - NOT the RAZR!!! I went through three of them (warranty returns).
Now I have my Blackberry, which I LOVE!
