i think generally, people believe in the personality traits associated with star signs, but they don't necessarily believe in horoscopes written by people who assume they have such a power. If i had that power, i wouldnt exploit it by making money.

I also know a psychic who won't accept cash, but food offerings are her request for readings. that i believe more then the £20 to make it clearer" top-up schemes.

I'm a cancerian however, and my long term girlfriend is aquarius,. every star sign description says we shouldn't be together and we wouldn't last. We're still together after 3 years and stronger!

No it's not!

How can you avoid knowing your star sign when people will ask for your birth date and then tell it to you?

I have nothing against astronomy apart from the fact that I believe I am special and I refuse to be classed (and restricted) to certain personality traits. I also refuse to be the same as hundreds of million of other people. I am a unique individual, so unique I have an individual DNA pattern despite living on a planet populated by 6 billion people. Why would I want to believe in something that tries to put me in a box?

I know what my star sign is, as I have seen it in the papers etc, but I have read a fair few predictions and very few (if any) had any truth to them. I know my star sign, but think it's a load of crap. That's all.

I wouldn't think it's contradictive to say. I was baptised and confirmed as a Catholic, but I consider myself to be athiest (long story). It's not contradictive to say this.

Just because you know what something is does not mean u have to believe it all
I know I'm a Leo and what my sign means (describes me to a tee) but I don't get into the daily horoscopes because 9 times out of 10 it's wrong so does that mean I am not a Leo just because I don't do the horoscope thing NO; it is what it is and I make my destiny not someone else!!!

To be honest, I have no idea what my sign is. However, I doubt I will live my life without someone telling me. I probably have been told before, but I can’t remember and I really don’t care.
Just because I know, something does not mean I believe it, atheists know Christians believe in God and Jesus as our savior but they do not actually believe it themselves. I hope that made sense and answered your question (but I doubt it did).

No. How many times do I have to be told I'm a Libra before I remember it? I also happen to know that in the Chinese Zodiac, I was born in the year of the rat. I don't believe in that either.

That is a bad conclusion. It is pretty hard to go through life without learning things you dont believe in. For example, I sure do know a lot about dinosaurs, and I don't believe they existed either.

I don't believe in God but I know the Lord's Prayer.
You can't help what you know.

It's certainly rather perverse to tell people about it (unless asked) - but certainly some men might try it as a chat-up line. All's fair in love and war!
