An argument occurs when two individuals try to get the other to accept their opinion on a topic. A discussion takes place when two individuals express their own opinions as another point of view of the same topic. If you and your boyfriend tries to get each other to accept the other's opinion you will always be arguing. You don't have to accept his opinion if you don't agree, with it, and the same goes for him, but you can avoid an argument by saying something like "That's another way of looking at it, I've never thought of it that way." And if you start doing that every time you feel an argument brewing, maybe he will start to take notice and realize you are trying to avoid arguing. Good luck.

It's not cause you push his buttons. It takes two to argue. Me an my man argue over little things alot because we both have alot of stress in our lives right now. When someone is stressed or has something on their mind, it's easy for the to freak over little things. It's annoying but just think before you speak. If he says something to piss you off, just don't say anything back negative. Sometime you have to agree to disagree. Good Luck! And everyone argues, even adults! no relationship is perfect.

Is there an underline problem that is unresloved? Small problems blow up into big ones because no one talks about whats really bothering them.

Because you're both selfish and are acting like children. Grow up and have an adult relationship. They are way more fun!
