well it's no surprise i don't know the exact laws of these 3rd world countries but i do know that a recent survey showed that honour killing is acceptable to 1 in ten muslims
this is quite common and their have been some prolific police investigations met with a wall of silence within the muslim community
muslim men killing their own daughters/wives so they can hold their heads up in thier corner shops or mosques
shariwa law will be here soon and white western woman will have to tow the line too

That answer sounds like nonsense. More islamphobic/xenophobic comments based on half truths. The problem with so many people in the west, is that they buy into the media's distorted presentation of the facts - and the demonization of "foreign" cultures without questioning the information they are being feed. Interestingly, Pakistan is a country in which it is not dictated by an "islamic" agenda.

On another note, it's always funny how racists justify their actions : "I am no racist, my mate's black..but i do think paki's should go home etc.etc.." Or something of that ilk. I am sorry but you are prejudice.

Most muslim countries are backwards, have'nt they got a forgiving God in Allah. Laws run by men for men, in the name of someone they can't prove exists. I don't know about Pakistan, I would have thought they were more up to date in their so called laws. Why don't you inform us about Pakistan, perhaps it has changed over the last few years, maybe not! Does a leopard change it's spots.

Sadly it is true. Countries under sharia law allow girls to be punished for what they terms 'Crimes against chastity.' Girls aged ten, and sometimes even younger, can be whipped and imprisoned for something as simple as getting in a car with a male, or talking in public to a male that is not part of their family.

This isn't Islamaphobia, but a fact. It is barbaric, and one shouldn't be dissuaded from expressing outrage simply because of fear of being called Islamaphobic. It is wrong, unacceptable and abhorrent, whatever your religion.

The same goes for Saudi Arabia although in most cases there the woman is not given a chance to present witnesses, she is stoned for adultery and if there are so many witnesses, it can't be denied, the woman's husband (if she is married) is given a massive payoff and then the hubby usually dicvorces his wife for adultery anyway. leaving her with pretty much no chance of marrying again!

An Islamic country wouldn't behave like this, would it? especially after all the criticism they have for Christianity and the West.

It seems like South Dakota might be going in a similar direction, with that abortion ban that doesn't even allow exceptions for rape.

are you supprised with that biggoted country and before anyone even hints at it, these statements aren't born out of racism. I have taught in a 95% enthnic minority school and have a number of ethnic minority friends....the difference is many of the rules, laws and cultures still in these countries are based around patriarchy and facism
