Certainly not! I have watches made in 1893, 1902, 1914, etc. that run perfectly. I have a 1952 watch that belonged to Dad. It had stopped before he died, because it needed cleaning. I had it serviced, and now it runs well. The stopping watch is a wild tale of some sort, perhaps an urban legend. Maybe the "Mythbusters" should check on it on Discovery Channel.

Only if they are the self winding variety that actually wind with movement of the owners wrist. Being the total jack off that you are. . . I'd imagine if you died tomorrow. . .your watch would keep ticking into the next century!
