can anyone reccomend a website or book where i can learn more?

open the case and learn about what each component does, read mags like pc extreme. take your comp apart and rebuild it when you have enough confidence. you'll learn good that way

I would strongly suggest going to your local bookseller and getting a copy of either "PC's for Dummies" or "The Complete Idiots Guide to PC's". Both are excellent beginner books if you are wanting to learn about how PC's work, basic Windows stuff, etc.

I think they retail for about $25 a piece.

If you have Widows XP: Go to help and in the top left search bar you can type the subject you want to explore.
There are some great hands on tutorials and lots of information and explanations. For starters you don't need more than that.

the best thng to do if u wanna learn more aout computers is to take a course, there are many centers that have quick and good computer courses, search on google, my husband recently took a course through Learn Direct

Get an A+ certification book at the bookstore. Exam cram is a good author, there are others.

www.learndirect.co.uk its brill i learned with them and you learn in your own time in your own home and if you got a child the course is free too what more do you want good luck xXx
