An answerer claims that there are McDonald's restaurants in New Orleans starting at $15/hr. Is this true? If so, can someone provide any specifics, like the address or phone number of the restaurant?

I'm not sure I believe this statement, and would like to call a restaurant to confirm.

I'm from the New Orleans area. Haven't heard of any at $15/hr, but have seen many fast food places starting at $10/hr.

The whole area is hurting for employees. So many people have left, including myself.

I have heard statements like this too. Only restaurants in VERY busy areas pay this much though. You would be working non stop. I wouldn't be surprised if the McDonald's in New York city pay this much too.

Well, it is possible. If you live in an expenisve city, Mc Donald's will pay a higher hourly wage because they need workers.
In California, the minimum wage is $6.75/hr. But depending on where you live in California, some Mc Donalds are paying $8 to $10 /hr to draw workers to apply.
Its possible due to New Orleand is trying to rebuild Mc Donalds's is willing to pay that rate to draw people in.
Go to the yellowpages and look up Mc Donalds or go to their website.
