Yeah. I cry because of the scene in the movie "Dumbo" where Dumbo goes to visit his mother in jail and she rocks him with her trunk through the cage bars. I'm 23, and I have cried at that part ever since I first saw that movie when I was 2.
I'm not sure about "Bambi" because I haven't seen it in many, many years. I remember crying in the theater when I saw "Theion King", but it doesn't make me cry now.
Oh, and I don't want to forget "All Dogs Go To Heaven", great movie, but the title says it all.
I've also cried watching certain animes before, like "Cowboy Bebop", "Trigun", and "Fullmetal Alchemist".
And "Futurama" has made me cry more than once.
Oh and I completely forgot about "Grave of the Fireflies". Wow, that's a hard movie to watch.
I've probably cried at more, but I can't remember, but I'm a regular water fountain.

I don't think most American cartoons are written to be tear-jerkers, they're written to be hilarious. In Japanese anime where the target audience is older, it's much more common to have really sad events.
I think the death of Bambi's mom got plenty of kids crying. And Simba's father in the Lion King. And when Pikachu died in the Pokemon movie. But I don't think many adults would be too affected by that- they would probably say the ending of Cowboy Bebop... Some episodes of Full Metal Alchemist... Even the death of Roy Fokker in Robotech.
But nothing compares to Grave of the Fireflies - man, that whole movie is hard to watch.

To tell the truth i have never cried after watching a cartoon. but i can not give a guarantee that i won't cry in the future. I know a person who cries after this cartoon which her son liked very much when he was alive.

I am man enough to admit that I am a sentimental romantic...and yes, I've teared-up after watching a cartoon...The Lion King, the first time I saw it. There may have been others, but Lion King was very powerful for me.
Good luck!

it was an anime. Full Metal Alchemist made me bawl. Seriously, I couldn't stop crying after I saw some of the episodes. Also Pretear. Pretear got an even bigger reaction out of me than FMA. Those are two of the only three anime series that I have ever seen all of.

I cried when I was younger when Bambi's mother was killed and I know this may sound funny but I actually started to cry when I seen the last episode of Yu Gi Oh when they were saying their farewells! It was so emotional that I could actually feel their pain.

Lion King hit me so much. Hey, who says males don't shed tears but shed blood? I don't think so. A man or women witha a positive heart has good feelings and are good people. I even cried. I can't stop wiping my tears with my fingers. I did not even ask for tissue papers.
