Evolution is a THEORY, but how can creationism be so wrong when ALL peoples in this planet have some form of belief on it ? Also prayer helps connect us to our GOOD side, how wrong can it be? I think this infusion of amoral, sosialistic, one-world system in our public schools has become such damage to our children that if it was done by the enemy ,it would be considered an act of war!

1. Evolution is science based; creationism is faith-based. Faith belongs in church, not in public schools.

2. Every country in the world, with the possible exception of Afghanistan, accepts evolution as scientific fact. A "theory" can also be a FACT. Einstein's theories of relativity are mathematical facts.

3. We are not a theocracy. America welcomes people of all faiths.
It would be discriminatory to push a Christian agenda in public schools.

Doubtless you won't be open to my answers...but you asked Why and these are the reasons.

Because if you want your kids to learn about creationism (and I have to remind you that most countries find this theory... well... dumb), send them to catechism.

For more details, see answer above. I totally agree with her.

Teaching people that the earth is only 10,000 years old (I don't know how long creationists think the Earth has been around) is opposed to what science explains. Science is based on facts. I agree, there are different theories, but they pretty much all agree on a lot of facts.

And how come teaching kids evolutionism has done damage to your kids? Do you know that only in America (well, there are exceptions, of course) do people believe that the Bible should be interpreted literaly? I'm sure even the Pope doesn't believe in it!

And what about other people religions? Do you just want to shove YOUR beliefs into THEIR throats? How about atheists? respect other people beliefs, and send your kids to catechism.

Lizeth is mistaken. Everyone BUT Christians are allowed to force their beliefs on us, right? I believe creationism / prayer should be taught too. My goodness, everything goes in this crazy world of ours! Why leave out Christianity when we teach/allow everything else? Honestly, I am a Christian and I agree that if an enemy tried to brainwash our kids like this that it would be an act of war. I hate the way society is making God a dirty word and treating Christians as mindless lemmings.
