I'm suprised how many people say to just go for it without knowing how old you are.

I'm guessing you're in high school and, if you really like the guy, then go ahead and go out with him. However, most seniors don't have much in common with sophomores, little things like having different friends, being able to drive and pay for things, etc. can turn into problems.

More to the point, you'll be out of school before him, and he'll most likely be clingy and pine for you, which isn't a great situation if you're going off to a job or college. And your question doesn't indicate whether you like the guy or not. If not, brush him off. Being direct is always betetr than trying to ignore him or "be friends"- that'll just encourage him.

Hope this helps!

I see no problem with that. I have had a instance where I liked women who have been 6 years older than me, but due to unforseen cirumstance nothing materialised.
The bottom line is if you like each other then go for it. No problem there. However it depends on the age if you are e.g 20 and he is 18 thats ok anything below 18 is risky!
Hope that helps good luck.

Two years isn't a lot of years in the scheme of things, really.
How old are you? If you are 18 and he is 16, you just have to deal with what peers will think. Honestly, if you like him, what the heck does it matter what they think?
If you are 16 and he is 14, and you both go to the same school, you should be just fine! (just remember peer pressure is probably the highest hurdle and WHO CARES? LOL)
The only thing you would have to worry about is sex, really. But if you are a teen, I really hope that you aren't thinking about anything like that!

Hi,

If you like the guy, and he likes you, why not?
The question is, can you go out with a guy who is two years OLDER than you? Is that an age-gap that will cause you shame? If the gap is okay in favour of a guy, it's also fine in favour of the woman. Two years is really ok, I know a lot of people with such age differences. Do not miss out on a potentially good guy/relationship because of that 24 months gap!

This small age difference is not a big deal. Go out with him if you enjoy his company and can see yourself in a relationship with him. Just remember guys are more immature than girls and if he's younger to you, he's really more immature than you so don't expect a man...he's probably just a boy himself.

Two years inent too much of an age difference, unless your VERY young, I'd go for it, I'm 2 years older than my husband, & its never caused any problems, after all we dont wear signs on us telling the world that I'm older then him, If you dont tell anyone, whose to know ?

How old are you? Statutory rape applies to girls also. If get attached and you are together after one of you becomes legal you are still in trouble. I dated a 7th grader when I was a 9th grader. I liked him and did not feel threatened or something. It did not last LOL oh young romance..how cruel it can be...

that depends on how old you both are. if you are 15 or something and he is younger i will say dont do anything. but im 36 and my man is 31 thats ok. it all depends on your ages now. you didnt elaborate on that.

Two years is nothing. As long as he is over 18 thats all that matters.
