Its to do with Chaos thoeory and how some tiny effects ( a bit of dirt on the wheel ) can cause larger impacts ( you heading straight for the egg stand )

Also, trollies ahve not been subject to the brainwashing the rest of us have so they are still a free spirit...set them free

COST. It is possible to have a trolley that does'nt have a mind of its own, the only problem is it requires an extra axle and 2 wheels.
Let me explain...... If an extra axle is placed midway between the other two, and the wheel is slightly larger in diameter, then it becomes a dream to manoeuvre. I have actually tried one out, and they are a dream. Will turn on a dime.

They are very carfully designed by the people who run the security cameras so they can get a good laugh at you trying to navigate your way around the store and then to your car!!

They sure do! I always get the one with the wheel that's stuck.

Their wheels wear out and so they like to wander, I have that problem myself, especially wth the carts I work with in my department. Its dang annoying for sure!
