I think it's bad practice, and even unethical, to respect an entire group of people without knowing the persons individually.

Thus, I never respect groups; I only respect individuals.

p.s. Contrary to public opinion, being respected is not a right; it is something that must be earned. And while it's easy for a person to do what it takes to earn my respect, very few people do so, preferring to simply demand my respect, regardless of what kind of person they are.

I try my best every day to respect the opposite sex, but every day it seems that I run into someone who is so rude and hateful. It makes me wonder why do I even try. I guess it was the time frame in which I was raised, but I really try to respect everyone.

If you want me to be truely honest, on first impressions I tend to respect attractive people of the opposite sex much more then I do unattractive people. It's a terrible trait, I know, but it happens. I also respect older people much more then I do the young. I know that doesn't make any difference, but again, it happens.

Having my Respect has nothing to do with Gender. It's all about How you treat me. Treat me like a Human , an i will do the same in return.

Yes, but not as much as men. I respect a strong spirit, men should be like warriors, courageous and brave, but I also enjoy the more delicate status of women, I just don't respect it like I'd respect a strong man.

I don't respect people according to their gender, I respect everyone anyway. If I am expecting people to respect me, then there is no sense is disrespecting them, that would make me a total hypocrite.

I respect people until they give me a reason to not respect them (which, sadly, happens too often), regardless of gender.
