I think you are missing out. I'm currently studying an OU degree in Social Sciences and one of the modules i'm doing is focused on Media. it is very eye opening. I used to think that watching Tv was just a vegging out thing to do, but now I'm looking at things differently - when I watch the news I find myself analysing the opening & closing credits and questioning why the programme is broadcast at that particular time, what opinions are trying to be expressed. My current assignment is about freedom of speech in the media and how things are censored. It's interesting that you feel the media is poisoning your mind; maybe you should look into studying the media so that you can develop your own analysis and look into why things are shown in the way they are.

Welcome to the Human Race. There used to be a programme on the box, years ago called, "why don't you turn your television off, and go and do something less boring instead! So I did, It's all recycled rubbish, it's not a TV licence you need now a day, it's more like a Medical Certificate with the amount of hospital drivel drama that's on. Well done!

You are missing nothing except the same usual sensationalism. The Cartoon Network would be the only possible reason you might want to resume watching t.v. Other than that, all you're missing is the same recycled, overblown, we're-all-gonna-die hype that's always been there.

not really, seeing as tv nowadays has become a joke and a farce. there is nothing but utter shite on the box. why can't people in tv land think of some decent ideas for once rather than feed us all with that reality tv bull?

Honey, if you're setting there watching t.v. with your legs spread, the tv is not your problem. Have you tried reading a good book?

No, you don't miss anything.Only the faces and names change.

TV brainwashing.. the minority believes everything they see on TV especially the news ,we except whit-out questioning ,we are getting fooled , also to much information to take in ,but like with commercials in between we do remember a hugh conspiracy perhaps??..to keep us in control , national geographic is great to watch together with discovery and MTV

It's not T.V. your missing, it's a life, and why bring whores into this, do you have voices telling you to kill them? Also sit up straight rather than lying there legs akimbo.

Not really, all that was on was Big Brother. In fact, if you set up a camera focussed on a brick wall it'd be more interesting.
