I am free because I do not get shot for being on the streets. I am free because I don't live in a tight, fearful country. I am free because I am among others who are free. I don't care what people say about America not being free. It's certainly more free than any other country I've been to, because everybody in America tries, and people here are more brave and encouraging in ways that seem impossible for other countries. Anybody who moans about not being free here is taking this country for granted.

I am free to do what I want (and no, that doesn't mean I'm free to do anything). So yes, I do feel that I'm a free person. And no, I don't live in US.

Yep, every day of my life. Freedom for a person is freedom in spirit. The minute you let someone else or something restrain that spirit, your whole being doesn't feel right. Let your spirit soar, its the only thing that should not be restrained.

No. I'm shackled by mental illness, lack of money, a messed-up government and legal system, and an even more messed-up set of norms and ethics that comprise US (and world) culture.

Barely. I live in the USA and every day our freedoms are being erroded.

True freedom is the ability to have bad habits.
