Okay, no rude answers please! I really want to get a clitoral hood piercing but I have a few questions first.... about how would you rate the pain level involved (I had my navel done and I have 3 tattoos which included one on my foot)....and does it really increase sensitivity??? Thanks in advance

most places will not pierce the actual clit anymore due to the nerves being so tightly packed that there is a significant chance of damage, and most women report after awhile (a year or so) they will loose some sensation. A better option would be a hood piercing, the skin covering the clit. The jewelry will rest on the clit and add an extra bit of friction during sex but when the clit is relaxed and retracts back it will not be constantly 'abused'. I'm not sure about the pain level as I would not do these piercings, and it's relative to each person-most say any genital piercing is an intense warm pain but quickly over.

It does hurt. It's a very strange kind of pain though, and it isn't going to be like your naval piercing. It really hurts, but the pain literally only lasts about 4 seconds. Then it never hurts again.

It's a really easy piercing to heal. 6 weeks at most. Soap once a day, soak in salt water once a day. That's it.

It does increase sensitivity. Not a whole lot, but enough that you'll notice.

EGAD! That sounds evil... Did you rotate your piercing and continue a general cleaning routine while bathing? I had a labret piercing "swallowed" ball-end when I put in a retainer before it was healed. I went to sleep, woke up, and... hey, I can see an o-ring-shaped lump on my chin! What material and length was your post and how fresh was the piercing? I haven't yet heard of this happening with well-healed piercings.

I've heard that you can increase your sensibility at the time of the sexual relation. I had a friend who had one and she told me that,

Regarding the time of the making it, well, it is your body and is skin, and it is a little more sensitive than the other parts.. SO I think is not going to be comfortable and should be painful.

Have no idea, but, Goood lueck :)

I have an ex who had one. She said the pain was minor. However, everyone reacts differently. As far as sensitivity, she said there was really no change. Regardless, she loved it anyway.

You may have more sensitivity, but you will also put yourself at risk for HIV and Hepatitis C. Genital piercings have a tendency to tear a little with sex and you will have an opening for all blood and body fluid to enter and put you at risk.

A friend of mine has one. Research your piercers. She says it didn't increase her sensitivity but she does sit on it sometimes and it hurts.
