You can get elastic strips with clips on the ends that will attach to the sheets, and keep them in place. They have these at any Wal*Mart and they work very well. Also, if you have a mattress that is a satiny fabric, try putting a mattress cover on it. They are cotton and will also help keep the sheets in place.

Are you talking about fitted or flat sheets. For fitted, you can go to a store and purchase "Bed suspenders" They clip onto the sheet and then it goes under the mattrass across the corner of the sheet. It works great, and they are not to pricey. You can got to a linen store or even online.
For flat sheets, if they are on the floor, that is your sleeping habits. You prolly get hot/cold during the night and your thow them off. Sleep patterns are hard to change.

Kmart sells these like elastic things that hold the fitted sheet on. They cost about 3 bucks for 4 of them.

Sew a zip to the end of the fitted and the half of the zip to the flat sheet. This keeps them together but still allow separation for washing. Worked really well for my teenager.

There are sheet stays that you can get that are made from elastic and they hold the sheets in place on the mattress by being placed under the corners of the mattress. They go under the mattress corners.

Drawstring sheets are the best sheets for staying in place and need no gadgets. They stay tight and flat and there's no issues with popping off or sleeping on wrinkled sheets.

Take large safty pins and pined each corner to under side of mattress, this keeps sheets in place; you might want to pin top and bottom just to make sure.
