when i saw the police they were in there prime number 1 after number 1 any one else seen them and if so what did you think of them

I saw them somewhere in the early eighties while they were still hot. I saw them in Hawaii. It was packed and at the time you could still cruise around and get closer to the stage without all the security hassels of today. I got within thiry yards of the stage. It was wonderful to see these guys banging it out. I was totally overwhelmed by Stewart Copland. What a monster of a drummer. Maybe not the most techniqually proficient on the planet, but he must be the most solid groove monger in exixtance. He sounded like he was playing with hammer bombs instead of sticks. he is still my favorite tight drummer.

OMG I think i was there too....was it at the Mayflower.....Im sure it was, I left school the year before, that was around the same time, the Tourists.....and Souxsie and the Banshees played there also. Yes, they were good back in their day.

I saw them with my g/f back in 1984 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia Pa........great show, and I got a T-shirt too! :)
