Cuba is totally safe, the Cubans are the most beautiful people I have ever met, totally friendly and will do anything for you, its the only place I have felt safe in for a long time, I walked back to our hotel on my own one night to get a book to give to another holiday maker and felt as safe as houses, I wouldn't walk to the end of my street alone here, the Cubans look out for you and if you have any worries or problems they will go out of their way to help you, they take you into their hearts and respect you.

if you are an American citizen it would illegal for you to go to Cuba unless you are of Cuban descent or have relatives there. if your passport is stamped and come back to the states you will be prosecuted.

Ive been there. quite safe, but very depressing country. if you like being ripped off , ok. Restaurant has two different menu... quite expensive country when you think about the quality...
