At first I did not know this about the ban, and I am actively Pro-Life. The ban does not include emergency contraception prior to the ability to detect pregnancy. This means if a woman was raped she could and I would encourage anyone in this situation to do so, to go to a hospital and get a rape hormone that potentially could block ovulation before conception occurs.
With this fact known many who are against the ban for lack of the rape exception should reconsider their position as this is a reasonable solution the creators of the ban wisely left out of it.

Colorado, I agree with you that most women that get pregnant are not so because of rape. Probably less than 1 or 2 percent are due to this reason. Nevertheless this is a major reason people want to keep abortion laws in tact. But if viable alternatives are informed to the public then there is all the less reason not to pass certain Pro-Life laws.

brian2412, again if people were educated as to a first response method to rape no abortions would have to be had making the abortion due to rape arguement moot.

wmcritter, ultimately I agree with you but I do believe options need to be given to rape victims. Wide spread education about emergency contraception could take care of the vast majority of cases.

iknowtruthis..., it seems like you want to start an "uncivil" war over this issue if you do not get your way. So when Pro-Life people try to protect life and you and like minded people do not have the "right" to kill preborn lives anymore, then you want to kill Pro-Lifers to gain back that "freedom" to do so. Hmmmmm, very revealing.
