I am a light skinned black and I don't experience any jealousy or prejudice from darker skinned blacks. Nor do I have any jealosuy or prejudice towards them.
I shouldn't have even answered your question but two points are two points.

I'm not jealous of light skinned blacks, but it goes back to slavery times. The lighter skinned blacks were house slaves and were resented by the field workers because they didn't work as hard or treated as bad. I like the color of my skin, and I would actually like to be darker.

Maybe for them, light skin blacks are more beautiful than dark skin blacks and much more attractive.

Im sensing a blanket accusation here. This is not universal. THere are diverse opinions, feelings etc. in every group of people be it skin color,ethnic difference etc. But not worth wholesale exploitation.
I can remember in my corporate world there was an arrogant male of jewish persuasion. One morning before he arrived at work another jewish male put a WWII German Helmet with a swastika on his desk and a note that said "Ve Vill make Lampshades out of you!"
So what wholesale conclusion can we make out of that?

Its a matter low self esteem and self hatred by what they see in the mirror. Unfortunately many people still buy into the superficial mindset that white people are better than black people and the closer that you are to being white the more success you will have and the better you are as a person.

Interesting!Probably the way they were brought up.
Personally i haven`t noticed any in my area.However i have noted that in one family there may be kids of different `shades`of black!How odd LOL!!!!

I think it's because most ppl dont think dark ppl are attractive. I know this one boy he was soooooooooo nice but like ppl called him a (dont remember) but it was b/c his teeth were so white and he was so black. But I dont treat anyone diff. b/c of their color.

Dark skinned blacks want to be "whiter". That's why they covet light skin and straighten their hair.
But if they would just drop the black attitude and the black "jive" talk, they would be MUCH more accepted by other races.

Black people seem to be more racist than white people. They are even racist amongst each other. They even use this as their race card. Very sad.
