Have you ever thought about why nobody has ever met people from the past or the future?
There must be an obvious reason for it.

I find that drink helps, I have managed to leap from early evening to the following morning with only 3 minor problems:
1) The time dilation seems to decrease the amount of money in my wallet to a minor but significant proportion
2) The affects of time travel for this period of time does seem to cause a nauseous feeling and some head pain which takes several hours to dissipate
3) The affects of this time dilation seems to affect my clothing in a most strange manner, usually some combination of chili sauce and vomit can be found on some item of apparel

Actually, time is a linear developement for us humans. We live day to day, and can not at this time, travel back into the past.
With Einsteins Theory, about space travel, being that if you go out far enough, that time slows down...(I never believed in that one, because the clicks of the clock, still are one second whether here on Earth or on the moon or alpha centuri).
Now, when you are asleep, you are not "counting time" as you are in REM sleep and dreaming. Your body's clock is resetting itself, so that you will face the next day with refreshed strenght and emotions. (Unless you are a restless sleeper on insomniac).
So, you are just not "conciously" tracking time, and you think that you go "faster"...But, its not, its the same amount of clicks on the time piece...(yea, have a restless night and a big ben clock around and listen to each click of the thing, it will drive you completely nuts!).
If its possible, to go out into space and "slow down, or reverse time", then it wont be in our life time, because we haven't advanced that far yet. On the other hand, there are those who believe that if you go out a year into space, and come back, many years will have passed, but those are science fiction writers, and I dont put much stock into that either..(Though, most of the Science Fiction Writers are actually Scientists, and they research thier facts with the Theories, but, thats all they are, just Theories).
I wil just stay ahead of the last second I was just passing at the moment, and continue on as long as the good LORD gives me breath in my body :)
I wish you well..
Jesse

strictly speaking, yes. time travel is possible. einstein stated that as we approche the spped of light time slows down, as we reach it time stops, and as we exceed it time flows backwards. but as time is relative to the person involved it is uncertain as to wheather you would be aware of any change.
this was actually proved some years ago using two atomic clocks that where perfectly synchronised. one was left in london and the other was flown around the world on a boing 747 travelling at around 500 miles per hour. even at this (relativly) slow spped the clock on the plane was a few million millionths of a second behind the stationary one, proving that time slows and would indeed go backwards.
but in all honestly, all you need to time travel is a delorean and some plutonium...

No. Time and space are inseparable concepts. You cannot travel to the past because what already happened no longer exists in the physical world. Same thing for the future: if it didn't happen, it doesn't exist yet.
P.S. This doesn't mean that time wouldn't pass at difference paces in different conditions. Check the general theory of relativity.

I hadnt got the concept clearly, but by eisteins theory of relativity, it is actually possible to travel time both backward and forward. Now the point to note here is that, you will not be in this universe, you may be in a parallel universe. Thats how they say it.

Forward time travel could one day be feasible.
However, anyone who looks at the problem logically knows that backwards time travel can simply NEVER happen.

So far we believe we have been able to teleport electrons from one place to another and it appears that this may make time 'stand-still' as it were for the object but any suggestion as to whether time travel is possible just appears to be speculation.

Since gravity appears to act instantly on everything everywhere, there must be something that connects every point in the universe with every other point instantly. Harnessing this power would lead to instant travel anywhere (faster than light.) Acording to Einstein, this ability would effectively result in time travel. Have fun!

Yes! Computers in some small way already is making this happen. If you are in the US and receiving this messsage, it has traveleved backwards in time and it has made the space relatively irrelevant.
