Your vaginal wall became dry and friction caused the skin to become a sore. You need to not have sex until this clears up and use lubrication next time

Ouchie. I hope that you've adequately recovered!

Abrasion can occur if intercourse is particularly rough or if you're not lubricated enough, or even if you clamp down or tense up too much with your vaginal muscles.

The abrasion can irritate and break the sensitive inner surface of the vagina, which is probably why you saw some blood and experienced some pain.

If intercourse at any point starts to hurt for you, ask your partner to please STOP. Tell him it hurts. Then, suggest that you switch positions, or spend some time arousing each other in a more gentle manner until you're lubricated enough to continue. If you're still too sore during any given session, do other things to get each other off. Intercourse is only a part of a complete sexual relationship and experience!

If you continue to experience pain during or after intercourse, however, make an appointment with your OB/GYN. There may be a medical reason why the pain is occuring.
Good luck!!!

an abrasion is like an indian or rug burn, more or less. in such a sensitive place, i imagine it could be quite painful, and, if it bled, it's possible it might get infected. i'd wait a while before having more intercourse, and, perhaps, apply a topical antibiotic cream or gel. if i was a lady.

An abrasion is a scrape, keep the area clean as possible. Keep it as clean as possible, consider seeing a doctor if it does not get better.

You should have taken time to reach the height of stimulation befre penetration. Then both of you would have created the natural lubrication. Next time dont rush

You answered it yourself, just abstain from sex for a while, try a medicated douche, that might ease the discomfort.
