If your filter is internal and has a power head put the hose on it and it will pump the water out for you.
If not put your garden hose in it, when it starts to flow pull the hose off the tap and the water will syphon onto the grass. If it is an emergency help it along with an ice cream container and bucket.
Empty in no time
Hope this helps.

use a siphon. its like a tube, you put one end in the tank, the other in the bucket/ sink/etc. suck on the other end, and the water should come out through the tube into the bucket. If you don't have a siphon or can't buy one, use any kind of tube.

The absolute fastest way is with a baseball bat. One perfectly placed swing should empty the whole thing in about 2 seconds!

LOL! - Just kidding!

Why don't you buy one of these:

Hands down the best way to perform your routine water changes or just to simply empty the tank is with a Python No-Spill.
