Hello ! not sure what kind of computer ya have but, Try this...Hit Start....Programs.....Acessories.....Systeam tools... There should be a list ....Scandisk ....Disk cleanup...Defrag etc... You must first run Disk cleanup ...Then Scandisk .Then Defrag But,first you MUST !!! shut down all running windows before running Defrag so your path is clear.....I hope this is of great help to you ...I have Dell 98 SE ...Also it may take some time ...Depends on how long it has been since last DEFRAG...and errors on disk etc....

Follow this and clicking with your mouse on each entry: START, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Defragment...it's your computer, check it all out, click on stuff and you would be surprised what you will find. You won't hurt it, I think we are all self-taught here. Good Luck!

If you just type "defrag" in to "search" programme, it should find it for you automatically and you just follow the instructions.

Click on the "Start" button, click on "Search", click on "Files or Folders" and type in "defrag" then hit enter.

That should do the trick though I'm not exactly a computer genius myself.
