in england, you would need to get some experience. Maybe ring around some nurseries and ask iif you could help out a few days a week, they might take you on as a student. Then if they do, youll be put on a course to get an N.V.Q 2 and 3 in childcare. Once you get level 3, thell be no stopping you, youll be able to get a job easily.
The money isnt great tho, something around £15,000pa
if you are lucky that is! Also, there are a LOT of paper work when it comes to kids so it wont just be looking after them. The goverment has taken the fun out of working with them. Good luck

Childcare jobs pay over the minimum wage.
If you register as a childminder with your council
then you will earn 15 pounds an hour looking after 3
children. Parents pay you 5 pounds each child an
hour then they get back 4 pounds from government.
So infact childcare is a very good profession but of
course it has a lot of responsibility !
I have 3 children and I know !
There are always parents looking for registered childminders !
If you take the little ones to a park, or swimming or you can teach then another language, parents will pay you up to 10 pounds and they get 8 back from government so good for you and good for them and good for government as they are working and paying tax !

Post ads at the laundro mat, post office and grocery store that you offer childcare with your phone number...etc. As for the going rate I am not quite sure I know that it varies. The girl I worked with her childcare was I think $25 per child a day, for the whole day, that included meals and snacks from breakfast to lunch and pickup at around supper time. Good luck! : ) OH! And as for your age that has nothing to do with it. You have references so that will help you out alot!

i can tell you this at 22 you are not gonna find any child care place to take care of you, most of them have a maximum age of about 5, you can try mabe a foster home and lie about your age, but you should just learn to take care of yourself.
