I think the only time I have ever prayed over sports was a little while ago at a car race when pastor led the crowd in a prayer for the safety of the drivers. I'd rather pray for world peace, health of people and other things insignificant compared to a qualifying game for a 2 year long process.

Have no doubt at all, Praying always works! Only, it works in your favour always, and, you don't always know what is good for you! Praying will do you good, make you stronger and stronger, wiser and wiser: If it is victory in a game that you pray for, whichever team has greater strength of prayer on their side, win the game! Don't just say "hope it works...", it makes your prayer week! say, instead: "I know for sure prayer will work...", that will make the prayer strong! (Think of that little boy who remembered to take his umbrella to the ground, where people were praying for rain!)

I believe it works to heal sickness and disaster. But in sports if both sides are praying then the result only comes from the performance unless some are using performance enhancing drugs or cheating.

I'm atheist... Anyway, who I should prey for France-Italy Football Match?
Donadoni?
(Lippi is atheist too)
And I don't believe in coincidences. Sometimes they happens, it's all.
Coincidentally, do you know what 'DONADONI' means?
'dona doni' = (he/she who) DONATES GIFTS
If Coincidence works, let's see which side will receive those gifts...

I once wanted to become an atheist, but I gave up -- they have no holidays.

I'm a non-believer in the supernatural be it religious or otherwise. I might scream at the players on the TV all the while hoping that they can hear me. That's as far as it goes.

No hate mail please, to each his opinions.
