Make sure that u installed Video Drivers.
There may be chances that ur driver files will be corrupted.So please reinstall them.

Firstly is it all video clips or only certain tht u can't play on yr computer?It maybe yr graphic card is not working properly...but try to restart your pc and see if it works again or reinstall the graphic card driver. It may be yr WMP that is corrupted, try to reinstall it again. For myself i use Media Player Classic because it can play all kind of video format. So this save me troubles pondering why i can't play the video clips sometimes.

For troubleshooting go to Device Manager ( Hardware Manager ) remove / uninstall ur default display adapter then again install it by hitting "scan for devices"
second thing please try to install VGA / Video driver which u have got with ur system in Driver CD.
also try reinstalling Audio drivers also

You probably don't have the right codecs which win media player is quite famous for! My advice is to download VLC media player it is very good at its job but isn't a pretty as media player.
